OPEN POSITION: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, British Columbia, Canada

JOB SUMMARY:

Zone Defense has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager in British Columbia.  We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong background in B2B sales, preferably in the fleet or telematics industry. The ideal team member will be responsible for growing our product line in British Colombia through generated leads, personal efforts, customer referrals, resellers, and strategic partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Growing the customer base in the respective territory through leads generated from a variety of sources including trade shows, customer referrals, personal efforts.

Strategic territory and time management is required to grow sales revenue, increase market share and convert competitor installations.

This position requires travel throughout British Columbia to meet with customers and prospects. In addition, travel will also be required to US and Canada corporate offices, as well as for trade shows throughout Canada and the United States.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Generate proposals and sales forecasts
  • Identify opportunities and close deals
  • Enter and track entire sales process in CRM from lead to order
  • Provide market feedback and input into product development
  • Convert leads to sales opportunities via telephone, email, and site visits
  • Develop relationship with tech support to investigate up-sell opportunities
  • Exceed sales revenue targets of per monthly and annual budget
  • Grow target opportunities to generate growth for new & existing products
  • Utilize channel partners to effectively mine territory
  • Assist at exhibitions and other marketing events
  • Ability to grasp mechanical and technical fleet-based vision and recording products

This is a telecommuting position. Preference will be shown to those who are self-motivated, show excellent time management skills, and have the ability to communicate well through multiple channels, including email, telephone, Skype, and video calls/conferencing.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Three years in B2B sales: priority is given to those with fleet industry or telematics sales experience
  • An employment history with tenure at prior employers greater than two years
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Fleet / trucking safety equipment experience is preferred
  • Experience selling hardware and software products is a plus
  • CRM experience is a strong plus
  • Experience in conducting technical presentations in front of mid-size to large-size audiences (at Customer Sites) a plus
  • Ability to think on your feet and respond to customer questions and objections
